A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to tour the new Room and Board store at University Village. It was such a fun afternoon and I completely fell in love with this amazing line of modern home furnishings.
I learned a ton about the company from the store’s knowledgable manager and was so impressed to discover that their furniture is primarily American made by small family owned manufacturers.
The part of Room & Board that people see is really only half of our business. The other half is our many long term manufacturing partners; the small American family businesses that care deeply about what they make and how they make it. -John Gabbert, owner and founder of Room & Board
The entire store was a delight to explore but I especially enjoyed checking out the children’s furniture. I love the modern lines and that it is fun and cheerful but not overly childish. Every piece is designed to grow with the child, which I just think is fantastic.
Our design philosophy comes from the belief that furniture is the background for living. We believe that if we build furniture of enduring quality and classic, simple design, it will adapt to the many chapters of your life. -John Gabbert
